What Are You Eating?
Our bodies are inherently designed to rely on food for survival. Food provides us with the energy needed to foster the growth of healthy, happy, and productive cells. However, when our bodies struggle to produce these essential cells, our overall health can deteriorate, impacting how we think, feel, and behave.

So, how does food influence our well-being?
The concept is straightforward.

When food is mishandled, often through the use of preservatives, additives, chemical treatments, GMOs, or hybridization, it ceases to be nourishment and instead becomes a harmful substance to our system. This creates an environment where autoimmune diseases can take root and thrive. The fundamental truth is that we cannot modify or enhance what God has created and still consider it good. Such alterations only lead to a state of dis-ease within the body.

ABOUT ME
I was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica to radical parents who chose to leave the comforts of the city for a life off the grid. We relied on lamps for lighting and trekked long distances just to obtain drinking water. Living off the land quickly became my normal experience as a 6-year-old child.

I will always remember those early moments when our family ate corn that had grown from a seed I had planted only a few months before. It was mind-blowing!
​
We worked the land and sustained ourselves from it, and remarkably, we rarely got sick (except for that one time when I decided to sprint down a slippery hillside in the rain... that didn't end well).
​
While some people's path to wellness is rooted in overcoming a life-threatening illness or disease, that's not my story. I was blessed with a legacy of wellness. I am a health counselor today because I felt a God-given calling to help families live well.

MY STUDIES
I am a certified Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and I also have culinary training from the Art Institute of Atlanta. My education has provided me with in-depth knowledge of diverse cooking techniques, holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health strategies.
​In recent years, I began studying health principles from a biblical perspective, and that's when everything fell into place. As created beings, we have been blessed with a clear plan for caring for our bodies. These are the tried and true principles that I both teach and strive to follow.
